Title:            Data Engineer

Location:     Remote Role

Duration:    4-6+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with at least 3-5 years of experience creating ETL processes to integrate new data sources into our data warehouse using SSIS (SQL server integration services). Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of DBA (database administrator) experience. Building system data experience is a plus!
In this role the data engineer will create new ETL flows using standard and custom tasks within SSIS to ingest and standardize data to load to target tables. Applicants must have experience creating new ETL processes and not simply doing a conversion from another ETL tool. This role will require independence and creativity to build new data flows based on requirements and guidance from the senior data engineer of this team.
 
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Significant technical expertise with data warehouse design, SQL server integration services and complex ETL requirements
Database concepts – indexes, execution engines, etc
Database Administration experience (Redshift, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Ability to gather and interpret needs from stakeholders
Requires 3-5 years of experience
 

Must haves:                                   

·         Significant technical expertise with data warehouse design, SQL server integration services and complex ETL requirements

·         Database Administration experience (Redshift, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Oracle)

 

Nice to have:             

Building system knowledge (ARCHIBUS, Symmetry, etc.)
