Job Description:-
 

7+ years of experience as a Data engineer or software engineer or in a similar role.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience engineering and optimizing data pipelines with large, complex datasets in fast paced environments
Hands-on experience in Software development working with functional programming such as python at an advanced level.
5+ years of experience of advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, HiveQL etc)
5+ years of experience building data lakes at scale using python and big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Tez, Spark, EMR, etc.)
3+ years of experience with AWS eco system, especially with services like AWS S3, EMR, Step functions, Glue, CloudWatch etc.
3+ years of experience with Banking and Financial Services Domain
 
Role/ Responsibilities
 
Will be responsible to write clean, efficient and scalable code using python programming language in an AWS heavy environment to build/automate data pipelines and other financial controls like GL reconciliation
Will be responsible to efficiently architect data intensive applications on the cloud especially batch-based jobs
Will be responsible to have advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. (PostgreSQL, Hive)
Execute actions necessary to achieve and maintain optimum Big Data platform performance, reliability and availability. Identify bottlenecks and provide solution
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
Be able to wear multiple hats like being a developer, architect and a leader etc.
Be able to bring positive mindset, accountability and ownership qualities
