Job Description

The Data Architect is responsible for all aspects of the organizations data management strategy and designing of the data infrastructure.  This includes data architecture design; implementing and reviewing Enterprise Data Warehouse standards; data modeling; ETL (Extract Translate and Load) design from conception to implementation; data lineage and data cataloging management.  The Data Architect will assist in the data management roadmap, design strategies of data management and data infrastructure as well as create, and document data designs, schemas, and data flow diagrams supporting the overall concept of Kern Health Systems Data Governance Program.  Strategize, create and develop the data warehouse design, setup, and maintain data sources.  Provide project management or participate as the technical decision maker in a project, as it applies to database technology, storage, or warehousing.

Overview:

Demonstrates strong analytical skills, responsibility, good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness, and is able to provide leadership for junior team members.

Complete understanding of Data Vault 2.0 Model - Methodology, Architecture and Modeling

Set standards for data management, analyze current state and conceive desired future state, and conceive projects needed to close the gap between current state and future goals.

Independently able to architect and develop ETL using Microsoft SQL server Integrations services and catalog that are used to collect and store the data from external sources, so that data can be accessed by internal or external business and technology partners or users.

Performs data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical) for supported applications (OLTP, ODS, MDM, Data Marts, Data Warehouse ,) and projects and creates related diagram deliverables

Provide hands-on application design and development of data structures.

Work with leadership to influence the direction of our data infrastructure.

Establish and enforce data governance functions and frameworks.
