DBA
« on: March 18, 2015, 11:30:48 AM »
Sorry to ask a dumb question, I am thinking to take courses change to dba field but don't know whether it is a good idea as I heard dba job is stressful. Right now part of my job is related to dba and I use Oracle. My current job is so easy no more challenges. Sometimes I got nothing to do the whole week only sitting here waiting for the issues arise then fix it. I tried to read an ebook of dba at work and almost fell in sleep. I don't want to waste of time like this every day. Since I joined this hospital 8 months ago I already took vacations 3 times. There's no dba in this hospital. If want to get dba job will apply other industries. Don't know whether other hospitals have dbas. Thanks for your advice.

Sorry, I don't have any cs back ground only took courses from here. I don't think I can handle net or java. If dba needs to write lots of sp I am afraid I can't.

I totally agree with you. Which one is easier .net or Java or dba? I don't like coding. It is hard to understand. I have problem to understand sp. you might say I am not IT person. However I am handling my current job very well. My job title is information analyst. Thanks.
