SME managed DBA services to build MS SQL-Servers and Oracle with latest version available on the planet. Example: SQL 2017 or above, Oracle 12c R2 and above.
Implement security best practices and automate the build standard. Implement policy management features to leverage the product features to roll out changes seamlessly.
Install, upgrade and patch both existing and new database environments and other supporting tools.
SME Level Database engineers to support this engagement for various migration and consolidation. Automation of repeated backup, restore, data loads and security provision is a key.
Implement SCOM , SolarWinds monitoring on new build servers environment to monitor and alerts.
DBA consultant must provide technical documentation of the work including all scripts and commands applicable in a standard word format. Must provide status of the accomplishment on a daily or weekly basis.
DBA consultant must have good working relationship experience with application development and production support team. Some level of working experience with business users, middle office users and Internal audit is a PLUS.
Implementing changes to the production environment as per mutually-accepted change management guidelines
Working independently on all complex projects and at the same time possessing excellent team skills to be able to collaborate with various infrastructure groups in the client organization, Interfacing with database and other vendors for technical support.
Understanding of current support processes, definition of the to-be processes and gap analysis
Planning and implementing security initiatives, performing vulnerability assessments, patch management, anti- virus management.
Establishing process for maintaining sound backups for all database environments. Such as SQL Server Full/Differential/Log, Oracle - RMAN backups, Export and Import dump automation.
Proactively monitor the SQL and Oracle production databases through Solarwinds monitoring and ensure alerts are provided when they occur, take corrective action to resolve these issues, and alert the IT management team of the issue.
Provide a monthly report of tasks completed during the month via Jira or Service Now along with the time spent
Performing general troubleshooting on all database-related issues and documenting solution steps
Definition and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate future risks
Reviewing, hardening and securing the current databases as per Client’s standards.
Providing guidance for securing databases which store sensitive and/or restricted data
Implementing security controls to prevent data loss/leakage or unauthorized access to databases.
Manage/Enhance Database Engine Security Configuration.
Conducting RCAs for recurring production Database Administration related problems.
Identification and root cause analysis (“RCA”) of performance issues and recommendation of solutions.

SME DBA must to have both SQL Server (Primary) and Oracle (Secondary) experience:
Ten plus years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS from SQL 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 to SQL 2016 and SQL 2017 enterprise edition.
Strong experience with installation, Setup, Maintenance and Upgrade of MS SQL and Oracle RDBMS.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Quarterly patches and upgrades from End of Life products (EOL) for various versions of Oracle products such as 10g, 11g and 12c.
Expert in High Availability technologies such as Clustering, F5 based Load Balancing techniques, Oracle 12c multiplexing with ASM. Powershell based scripting and automation is a key.
Must have technical documentation of the work performed and very good team player skills.
Implement SQL Server 2017, Oracle 12c Multi- tenant, database installation, configuration and management.
Need to support Production, UAT, SIT, DEV servers between 8AM to 8PM SLA. Lunch break can be 30 minutes and not paid for consultants. Occasional weekend work involved for various maintenance tasks.
Must have strong experience with production DBA experience in supporting MS SQL 2017, 2016, 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2005 and Oracle Database versions (10g, 11g and 12c). Data guard (DG) set up across data centers. Backup, Recovery and Restore of various Oracle versions 10g, 11g and 12c Databases.
Experience with Oracle Grid Control & Grid Infrastructure installation and configuration. Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM monitoring setup) for centralized monitoring.
Excellent DBA expertise with Production Database Administration, RMAN backup/recovery, Performance Tuning,  Trouble-shooting, High Availability, Architecture Design, Infrastructure Analysis, Backup & Recovery and Disk Storage (ASM).
Experience with administration and tools including SQL CMD, Powershell, SQL configuration manager, RMAN, Cold & Hot Backups , Expdp/Impdp, TOAD, SQL Developer tools.
Expert in Production Database Daily Administration (such as data loading, data processing, job scheduling via SQL Agent and Cron Job in Linux OS) and Data Warehouse maintenance such as partitioning tables, creating materialized views.
Automating Database or schema level refresh in development/test environment from production backups or tape storage.
Data Security implementation via CyberArk, Firewall, User and schema management etc.
Optimizing memory area based on application needs. Advanced performance tuning for Index tuning, Stored procedure tuning, statistics update are instrumental to support.
Expert in Database Health Maintenance using Enterprise Manager, Self-developed shell scripts & methodology, Diagnostic, Tuning Pack and DBMS_ Utilities/Procedures.

Candidate nice to have experience and skills:
Nice to have Service Now ticketing system experience
Nice to have OFSA product deployment experience to support OFSA databases in Oracle.
Nice to have experience with 12c Container database setup and enhancements.
Nice to have Oracle installation and setup of Oracle 10g, 11G and 12c database in a RAC and ASM.
Data Guard experience to setup Physical/Standby/Snapshot Databases, Database Replication/Clone. DG Failover and failback as needed during DR test.
Nice to have exposure to big data (No SQL) products such as MongoDB, Hadoop with Spark framewor
