Reason for Need:
They are moving from a SQL Server 2008 R2 environment to SQL Server 2017. That will entail reviewing a bunch of SSIS packages and making sure they work in the new environment
Top 3 Things:
Deep SQL Server background (must have 2008 R2 through 2017) – without 2017 they will not be looked at!
Strong T-SQL development skills
Advanced SSIS skills
Internal Job Notes (Optional):
Related to SSIS in SQL Server 2017, please highlight any experience related to new SSIS features (Scale Out, Linux with SSIS, deploying packages to SSISDB on Azure, Azure-SSIS Runtime, Azure Data Factory, SSDT, etc.)
Should be coming out of large environments (healthcare, retail, financial services, etc.)
Please highlight any healthcare experience
Day to Day:
Inspect existing SSIS packages
Modify existing and develop new SSIS packages as needed
Implement best practice processes related to a migration to SQL Server 2017
Testing and documentation duties will be included
Required Skill Sets:
Deep SQL Server background (must have 2008 R2 through 2017)
Advanced SQL programming / performance tuning / index creation and T-SQL procedures development
Proficiency in developing and deploying SSIS ETL Processes for performance and scalability
Related to SSIS in SQL Server 2017, please highlight any experience related to new SSIS features (Scale Out, Linux with SSIS, deploying packages to SSISDB on Azure, Azure-SSIS Runtime, Azure Data Factory, SSDT, etc.)
